Epson Scan cannot be started.

Hello, I tried but I'm on Windows Vista and when I go to programs, I uninstalled it but it’s not in add programs... my problem persists therefore. Does anyone know how to do it on Vista?

After you went to Add Hardware, where did you go? Because I installed the driver for my printer, but the same message keeps coming back.

I found the solution that worked for me!!!
Turn on your printer, if you think you have installed all the drivers, including the scanner’s:
Then go to:
1 - Control Panel
2 - Performance and Maintenance
3 - System
4 - Device Manager (there, you should see your scanner as a hardware device with an exclamation mark (!), which means it is improperly installed or in conflict and therefore not functioning.)
5 - So there, click on it with the left mouse button, and at the top of the window, click on update driver, and it will ask you to insert the CD. Insert it, and there you go!!!

It worked for me, I hope it works for you too.

To scan with an EPSON printer that is networked (either WIFI or cable, it's the same), you need to use specific software: EPSON SCAN (note the originality of the chosen name).

Of course, you can download it (if you don't have it) from the official EPSON FRANCE website.

I have, of course, already used it with a PX800FW, a PX820FWD, an SX510W, an SX515W ... as well as with all the EPSON printers that I have repaired, used, and resold equipped with refillable cartridges ... EPSON SCAN has always worked well (that's where I wanted to get at).

For my part, I had to manually configure Epson Scan on a WF-2660 Series printer (purchased in early 2015). The printer was connected via USB, but Epson Scan wouldn’t start (note that right-clicking on the printer and starting the scan worked). In fact, I had to go into the Epson Scan folder (right-click, properties, file location) and run the small executable next to it with "cfg" in the name and configure the scanner using the printer's Wi-Fi IP address... after that, everything worked (Windows 8.1).
