Reinstalling the driver of an Epson scanner on Windows 10?

Hello,
I installed Windows 10 and have been experiencing issues ever since. At the moment, I do not recommend it (I wanted to go back to W7 but I can't remember my original password, Windows knows what it's doing, it wasn't mentioned in the installation instructions!!).

My Canon printer had disappeared: driver reinstallation!
The brightness wasn't working: reset via power cut and pressing the power button!
One of my USB ports stopped working after a few days (due to W10?). It has completely vanished. In short, it is dead!!

And, my scanner (Epson) no longer works as it used to: no format choice (only photo: jpg...) nor destination (only in "my pictures")!
I am not a tech whiz so I wonder if I can reinstall the driver (to regain the original features) even though the scanner is recognized by W10 and works, albeit partially, or if I need to uninstall the driver before reinstalling it or if I should just make do with what I have!!
Do you have any advice?
Thanks!

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 40.0

Hi,

Open the Device Manager and check for any question marks or exclamation points.

For your scanner, yes, reinstall it.

Open cmd.exe and type this command:
sfc /scannow
then press enter and wait for it to finish before restarting your PC.

Finally, press Windows+R and type
wfs
, try to scan with this application.

If it still doesn't work, try uninstalling the scanner driver, then restart Windows. It will install the Microsoft universal scanner driver. Try scanning again by pressing Windows+R and typing
wfs
.

Catch you later!
