Universal Energizer Battery Charger Issue

Hello,

I have a problem with this Energizer universal charger CHEUF, it indicates that my Energizer NiMH 2200mah or 1850mah batteries are BAD and the charging stops, while my other universal charger VARTA charges them very well, they are not actually dead. Can anyone suggest a solution?? Has anyone else had this problem?

Has it worked properly before? If yes, send it back if it's under warranty; if not, replace it.

Yes, this charger works properly for charging C, D, AAA batteries, and also some 2500mAh NiMH AA batteries, but not for the 1850mAh or 2200mAh AA batteries, which is strange.
Note that most of my batteries are Energizer.
I feel like this charger only wants to charge very recent AA batteries, which shouldn't be the case.
