Word: remove the markup

Solved

Hello,

I am a beginner with Word 2003. I have a text with correction marks in red underlined that I would like to remove to have the text in a normal black font and without correction marks. I mean that the corrections will be the final text since the original had errors.

How do you revert a text with corrections to a "normal" version?

Thank you

    Good evening

    It may be interesting to keep them without displaying them.

      It's precisely made for...
      The problem is that many users think they are permanently deleting them by removing the display, which has caused quite a few issues in the past. I say in the past because since the 2003 version, even if we hide them, by default the revision marks are displayed again when the document is opened.

      As for me, as I just expressed in my new post, I believe it should be possible to no longer see them appear, but I don't know how to do it... However, I will continue reading the comments, but your response to Sonic69 worries me a bit...

        If you are on 2013 (or higher, I think), here’s the procedure:

        File --> Options --> Proofing
        At the bottom, there should be 2 checkboxes. (hide "")

        You can choose this exception for all documents or just the current one! I hope I answered your question ;)
