Ghost hard drive

Solved

Hello, I noticed this morning that in "computer" a hard drive (Local disk (Q:)) is detected, but when I click on it, I get a message that says: "Location not available (in title) - Q:/ is not accessible. Access denied."
I wonder where this comes from, and also I have never connected an external hard drive. I wonder if it could be a virus, but my antivirus doesn't detect anything.

Thank you in advance for your future responses.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 7.0

    Hi,

take a look in disk management to see if you see that drive. Right click on Computer and then on Manage

This reader does not appear, but there is another one without a name (14.65GB) that is empty.
      Is this normal?

Is it a partition or a hard drive?

Do you have a branded PC?

Can you post a screenshot of the disk management on an image hosting site and post the link here so I can take a closer look?

Seen! You have a single hard drive but three partitions; the 14GB one is certainly the recovery partition to restore your system in case of major issues.

If it is not visible in the workstation (Computer), then it is indeed a recovery partition.

Yes, but why is the 14GB partition empty?
      Shouldn't it be full?

How empty it is! Can you explore?

      Sorry for the delay
No, I can't explore it, but it says it's empty
And for the "ghost", I can't do anything, not even analyze it, nor format it... nothing

Confirmation for your 14GB partition, if it appears empty and unexploitable, it is indeed a partition used for restoring your system to its factory state.

It may seem empty to you, but know that it is not. It is a protected partition, so its contents cannot be viewed.

For your ghost drive, try restoring to a date prior to this issue.

It's all good, I managed to remove it, actually it was MS Office 2010 that had installed this hard drive for me.
