MS-DOS Commands to Format a Hard Drive

Question

Bjr, wishing to format a laptop with all the reinstallation CDs, I have a problem when going into MS-DOS because the keyboard works in QWERTY but when typing the command keyb fr it tells me that the specified code page has not been prepared... the problem is only initially how to enter the colon (:) to validate the format command. Hello, here is the step that will allow you to format your hard drive, and it even asks you to rename your disk. Before formatting, you need to know the location of your disk, whether it's C, D, E, or F, and then you will be able to choose and format.

I found another answer, thank you (hold down the Alt key, then type 58, and then release Alt). However, now when I want to format using the CMD prompt, a message tells me that the system cannot format because it is currently busy. What should I do, thank you?

Well, to keep it simple, you put the hard drive you want to format in your computer, you start your boot and get to the command prompt.

You type the index of your disk, which is the letter that corresponds to it; theoretically, if you only have one disk in your PC, it will be C. You write format and then press enter.

So

C:format "enter"

For those who have pre-installed Windows versions when acquiring the computer.

Be careful with formatting, either done with a third-party formatting software (on boot CD) or by connecting the disk to another computer.

This would erase the hidden recovery partition of Windows.
Which is equivalent to the recovery CDs.
