    Hi,

    A ping is fundamentally a MS-DOS command that allows you to test whether a network node is responding (either on the Internet or on a local network).
    If the node is active, it responds. A ping command sends 4 packets and the node returns as many.

    For each packet sent, the command also measures the time it takes for the node to respond (in ms).

    Specifically, when your PC tries to communicate with a server (for gaming, for example), there is a certain time delay between a command and its response: there can be a 100ms delay between sending a request and the server's response: this is what is referred to as "ping" in games, for example.

    And you can't modify it!!!
