Hello everyone ccmers!
I'm asking for your help with a Wi-Fi connection issue with my PS3 on my Alice/Free Box modem/router!
Indeed, when I set up my PS3 on Wi-Fi, the internet connection test is fine, but when I connect to the PlayStation Store or update games, the PS3 gives me this error code: 80710723.
While digging around, I found that it was a port issue!
Can you please help me?

Configuration: Windows 7 / Safari 532.5

That's it, it's done, I went into the interface of my Alicebox and then into configuring my Alice router! It's the same system as the Freebox!!!!

    Thank you

For the solution see this link: https://www.commentcamarche.net/faq/27017-nat-ouvert-ps3-freebox

    it's good then you succeeded
    does it work?

    you will also notice
that in some online games you need to open ports

    games like FIFA10
    Call of Duty
    battlefield

so you just have to add them to your modem

you will find the ports in the game's manual

that's why we say non-exhaustive list on forums
for the ports in question in the tip

    ok cool

at least one happy person today

that reassures me since I posted the tip
you are the only one who succeeded

well, I don't have eyes everywhere to know if others have succeeded

although recently there is a new feature
on the tips we can add comments

there's a bubble at the top right

I see that you edited your message

but the only differences are those that I mentioned below

other than that it's the same thing.

    So

the hard drive has a larger capacity (120 GB)

and a Cell processor with finer lithography
(45 nanometers compared to 65 for the fat version)

so it consumes less and runs cooler

    in terms of audio
it is compatible with Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio

    in terms of video
it is compatible with Sony Bravia Sync

but all this is really only noticeable
    with top-notch equipment

Pour remplacer votre disque dur de 80 Go par un HDD de 500 Go, suivez ces étapes :

    So a 2.5" hard drive
in a SATA or SATA II format

With a rotation speed of 5400 RPM, 7200 RPM drives heat up too much

But honestly, don't try to put too much space
250GB or 320GB is more than enough

If you only want to back up game saves, you need a USB key or a memory card

and manually select the saves in the menu
(triangle copy and select the USB key)

    For protected saves
The only solution is to back up the entire hard drive to recover all saves.

The best thing is to back everything up on an external hard drive (FAT32)
    Settings
    System Settings
    Backup Utility
    Back Up
    Yes

Once the new hard drive is installed
just launch the PS3 and the hard drive will format automatically

    (USB key)
then you just need to manually copy your saves

    (external hard drive)
    Settings
    System Settings
    Backup Utility
    Restore
The system will search for the data and then proceed with the restore.

Note: changing the hard drive does not void the warranty.

Yes, I know I have an eSATA/USB adapter for 2.5 and 3.5 HDDs, but when I connect it to my PC, it installs but doesn't appear in the computer menu under Seven. So I looked in disk management and there it appears under an unknown format.
Windows asks whether to activate it as an active partition or a logical partition! Which one should I choose?
Will it change anything when I put it back in the PS3?
I’m sorry, but I prefer to be careful with my data!

aaaaaaarf well I don't really know

honestly I wouldn't recommend changing anything on your computer
when you start messing with partitions you'll find yourself in trouble

Thank you, that's nice! However, what is the format (FAT32, NTFS) of the HDD? Can we connect it to a PC to back up the content?

    no, it's SATA
so you need a IDE-SATA adapter

in the end it all depends on your PC but rather this one
    SATA-USB
    http://www.presence-pc.com/actualite/usb-sata-adaptateur-19533/

it's a hard drive like here
    https://www.google.fr/search?hl=fr&q=disque+dur+sata&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=univ&ei=xxbfS-X1A9uNsAaIounDBw&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=4&ved=0CCwQsAQwAw&tbm=isch&gws_rd=ssl

    this one exactly
    http://ps3.jeuxvideo.org/2008/01/03/un-disque-dur-de-500go-en-25-pouces/
you see the connector is not the same as USB

No need to open ports with the Freebox! Just enable UPnP on your Free configuration panel: http://www.exblog.fr/post/20090323/activation-upnp-freebox-adsl

This allows automatic port opening for your DS, PS3, P2P networks...
