Hello
I often want to set margins inside the pages created in Illustrator, but I feel like it's impossible, which honestly seems absurd to me, it's so useful.
I think I must have missed something, but no matter how much I search, I can't find where to set them; we can only put "margins" between artboards (more "space" than "margin," I think).
Can someone tell me how to set margins on my page like in InDesign, when creating a new document in Illustrator? Not to be confused with guides; I'm talking about margin lines on a sheet.
Or a tip to work around this lack if it is indeed a lack.
Thank you

Hi,
I don't think there are margins in Illustrator. However, you can set up guides. In "View," click on "Show Rulers." Then go back to "View," "Guides," "Lock Guides" to unlock them unless they are not locked. Next, click on the left ruler and drag it onto your document to the desired cm for the left and right sides. Then do the same with the top ruler for the top and bottom of your document.
To modify them, click on the line (often blue) and move it, and to adjust it, click on it and drag it either to your left ruler or to the top one.
