Hello everyone,
For some time now, my screen has really been struggling to start up.
I have a ViewSonic VX922 and when I turn on my PC, the screen is TOTALLY black and the indicator light is flashing green. (steady green: on; orange: standby; but I'm lost here).
I can get it to turn on by rebooting about twenty times and switching the monitor cables (my graphics card has 2). If by misfortune I enter standby mode, the screen does not come out of it. That issue is resolved, I've disabled the standby mode.
I've been able to test with a second screen, which works perfectly.
The thing is, once it's on, my screen is on! It then shows the image quality I know it has had for 2 years. There's no problem on that side, it's just getting it to start.
What should I do?

Hello,
Have you tried changing the cable that goes from the PC to the monitor?

I’m responding very late, but others might have had this problem.
My situation had deteriorated to the point where my screen wouldn't turn on at all.
I then continued my research and found results in English.
It seemed that the screen’s resistors had blown.
So, I disassembled the screen to check, and that was indeed the case. I bought new ones (less than €5 for all) and soldered them in (count on about 2 hours).
It worked perfectly :)
Video that helped me as a tutorial all along:

Thank you for this information, which is very useful!!
One question, however: what type of resistors should I buy (reference) and where can I find them?
