Hello,
My Windows Media Player icon has disappeared from the desktop, and my Windows Media programs are still installed. How can I get the icon back on the desktop?
Thanks
Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.6

Hello, "regarding the missing Windows Media Center icon"

Go to the Start menu....2-click on "Computer" to open it.......in the left column CLICK on the small arrow next to the hard drive icon.....find the Windows folder and click on the small arrow......look for the "ehome" folder and 2-click on it to open and search for "ehshell.exe"..... you will easily see it, it's the Windows Media Center icon..... then right-click on it and choose "pin to Start menu." Be careful not to delete files by mistake!

    Option 2:

Start menu... "All Programs"... select the "Default Programs" icon.... select "Set your default programs for program access and computer.".... then select "Custom"...... then CLICK on the double arrows on the right..... then scroll the window and check "use my media player...."......and check next to Windows Media Center .."Allow access to this program"
There you go, I hope this will solve your problem. Take care.
