Sharp LC32P70E TV Safety Lock

Hello,
In September 2006, I purchased this television along with an extended warranty. It seems to have a recurring issue with "Safety mode," the television turns on when the remote control is activated but goes into standby without any further explanation. This happened in October 2007, then there were instability issues with channels and safety mode in August 2008, again safety mode in December 2009 (2 months with the supplier or manufacturer), and it just broke down a few days ago for the same reason.
Can a specialist tell me what this "Safety mode" entails and what it covers? SHARP is very vague on the matter and their hotline has technicians who confuse HDMI signals with 220V!!! Why is it not possible to perform a reset to zero to reset it?
Do other televisions from other brands have the same problem?
Thank you
Configuration: Mac OS X / Safari 531.21.10

In fact, your problem is related to the LCD panel lighting
The backlights are certainly defective, and so no matter how much you try to reset the system by overriding the safety, it will always come back.
