Bluetech, a good brand for a television?

Hello,

I'm considering possibly buying the Bluetech SG24LT1 television: Full HD, 61cm, €249. I was able to see it in-store and the image is excellent, at least with a Blu-Ray. It seems really cheap to me even though the image is very good. I haven't read good reviews about other Bluetech products (cameras and others), but I'm not sure about the TV. Is it sturdy? Does it have any issues? How does it compare to a Samsung Full HD 32" for about €450? Is the difference of €200 just because the screen is smaller and the brand is less known? Because it seems quite similar to the others otherwise. So, in short, I'm wondering if there are any significant flaws with this Bluetech television.

Well, I bought one, but the problem is that I can't find a remote control for this brand!!! If the original remote breaks, there's no way to find one that works with it.

Hello,

I don’t know this brand, but personally, I bought an Akai television (a little-known brand as well), and I was honestly disappointed because although the picture was nice, the sound was more than mediocre... even unbearable. So, I prefer to buy a brand to ensure a minimum quality, even if it means paying a bit more...

But as I said, I don’t know Bluetech; maybe they are reliable.

The image of the Bluetech is quite good, the sound is average (but there are "home theaters"). On the other hand, the Samsung has colorimetry issues.

store brand, fairly average, in case of a severe breakdown the repair cost is more expensive than the TV; in some after-sales services they don't repair them, however for a small budget it remains acceptable
try to ask to watch this TV with a TNT image because a Blu-ray image is one that sells well for retailers: zero defects and when you install it at home with TNT or a standard DVD you are disappointed; this is a common practice among all TV retailers because you only see the good sides of the product and not its potential defects

Blutech is an assembler of modules that builds TVs for large retailers, and there are many others. The problem a few years from now will be finding spare parts, but here we are touching upon a vast topic of discussion that doesn't lead anywhere because, even for well-known brands, spare parts are no longer a major concern for manufacturers; the "throwaway civilization" has unfortunately arrived there too.
