USB key on hi-fi system

Question

Hello,

I have a 4GB USB drive that contains, among other things, music tracks, and a mini Hi-Fi system with a cassette (K7) and CD player.

Is there a way to connect my USB drive to the auxiliary input of the system? Will I be able to listen to the music on the drive?

A USB key reads nothing; it's simply a storage space. Otherwise, it's called an MP3 or video player, but it's no longer a key.

No, USB flash drives or portable players cannot be connected to the AUX of a hi-fi system or to the inputs of an audio amplifier.

Hello  About the walkmans, yes, but I've never seen a jack on a USB stick!!

Hello again,

I asked specialized sellers at Fnac and Planet Saturn, and both clearly told me that there is no female USB to male Jack adapter.
So I ultimately bought a second-hand mp3 player with a supplied Jack plug.

However, it would be wise for someone to develop this kind of adapter, as it would be very useful given the growth of the USB format...
