Hello,
I really have a big problem with iTunes, I would like one of you to explain:
I wasn't signed up for iTunes when I got my iPhone, obviously putting in my bank details (at the time I didn't know you could do otherwise (thanks to one of you by the way!)
I only bought free apps and I received the 0€ receipts from iTunes.
My account on iTunes (in the history) is still at 0€.
After a few months, I noticed at the end of 2008 some iTunes withdrawals from my bank account (like: 0.79€ - 6.29€ etc....) which reached 200€!
Of course, I canceled the payments, my bank reimbursed me, and when I contacted iTunes I only got stereotyped responses like "we are really sorry blah blah blah, you are a victim of fraud... it doesn't come from our services... change your password!
Of course, I also removed my bank details (I found out how to do it) from my account
As they had changed of course, I thought I was safe until the end of December last year when I had again withdrawals of up to 50€ this time
I went through all the procedures again and contacted iTunes without any further information by the way, I feel like I'm talking to machines!!!
Today, I just opened a new account but I would really like to know how this is possible and especially if other people have had this problem
I don't understand anything
thank you for enlightening me
see you later

Hello,
In fact, it is neither iTunes nor Apple that is making these fraudulent charges.
The ID data validation email you received was a fake written by scammers. By opening the link they provided (which directs you to a page created by them, and not to iTunes as one might believe) and giving your banking information, you inadvertently allowed them to access your bank account! It is these scammers that are making withdrawals from your account. Therefore, you need to take action with your bank.
iTunes cannot do anything to stop this because it is not your iTunes account that has been hacked, but rather your bank account. With your iTunes ID and your credit card number, these scammers have free rein.
Remember to NEVER provide banking information on an unsecured HTTPS site, especially not in response to a link received via email. For your information, here is the fraudulent message: do NOT open the link embedded in "verify now"!
This message is a fake that did not come from iTunes:

I completely agree with your comment. The following email I just received, in awkward French, obviously raised a red flag for me. I reported it to: reportphishing@apple.com
Have a good day
