DVD playback issue with Sony RDR DC-105

Hello,
I bought a SONY RDR DC-105 recorder, and I can't play a DVD in NTSC format in color (it only plays it in black and white).
I'd like to know if there is a way to fix this problem. Or if there are decoders that can be adapted to it.
Funny thing: when I play an NTSC DVD (thus in black and white), when I press "stop," the last image appears in color!

I bought a Sony RDR-DC105 hard disk recorder and it doesn't read RW DVDs or DIVX, and I no longer have HD on my TV since its installation. For the price, I thought I was getting a good deal but what a disappointment! Can updates be downloaded to resolve the issue?

Go to Sony assistance and download the update 1.05, then install it on your Sony RDR DC105 recorder. Now you will be able to play any DIVX.
