Hello,

I was hoping to find improvements to process my images with ACDSee Pro 3
but when I want to simply crop my images, I can't find the command in the tools... and in the software's help, there's nothing on the word "crop"... as if it weren’t planned?
It’s a common request after all, so I imagine I just don't know where to go...
If anyone knows, thanks for helping me

    Hello,

On software that was valued at nearly $200.00 according to the latest news, it would be surprising if there isn't this function, either with the rectangular selection and cut or with the crop tool http://ioj.com/v/6sjjh

In fact, they call it cropping in the help section, that's why I couldn't find it. We can do it, but actually the interface is a thousand times less convenient and customizable than the non-pro version... I am very disappointed.

Hello, I just acquired version 2.5 (we do what we can) and I have a basic problem, namely that when I launch ACDSee, I directly find myself in edit mode on a folder of photos and I can't display the initial menu which includes the browser.
You all seem very professional, so thank you for your help.

I'm sorry, I switched from the pro version back to the classic version where I can find my bearings, so I can't help you with this version. Maybe check the options in the tools menu, see if you can choose the startup interface in the settings? Go through all the settings in this menu and you will probably find your answer there.

    Hello,

Cropping or framing is the same thing; it's new software so you'll have to get used to it a bit, but it shouldn't be fundamentally different from the other one. It’s certainly more complicated since professional software, while offering greater performance, is always much more complicated than public or family software. You'll get the hang of it without any problems... ;-)

I don't know, I appreciated being able to open my image to edit and have the buttons for all the actions I do most often on the same page (crop, brightness, resize, rename...)
with this one, I don't know if you have it, we have to switch tabs to display, to edit, etc... constantly and then, click on sub-options to crop which is yet another sub-tab... waste of time, ergonomics not great!
if you have it and you've managed to get all your most used buttons on the same page like in the other version, then I'm interested in "how to do it"!!! I've gone through all the "customize" options on each page but nothing conclusive, everything is scattered...
it's a shame, we expect an ergonomic gain as well with a new version, it's important.
    :)

    ergonomics meh!

The price of software is inversely proportional to its ergonomics (my old signature)... ;-)

    Oh, that's not always true!
Adobe's CS4 developed some great ergonomic solutions for example :)
    But I'll admit...

Well, I think I'm going to go back to the old version since apparently no one can convince me that the pro is better :)

Long live Georges Courteline, the quote is from him, right?!

The one that talks about an idiot, yes; the one that talks about ergonomics, no... xDDD

Have a good day to you (yep, it's already tomorrow for ten minutes)...

Keep your spirits up anyway. ;-)

    See you later.
