Hello,
I noticed a phenomenon I had never encountered before.
I had two used LR6 batteries in my handbag for a few days.
In the same pocket as the batteries, for about 2 hours, I stored my car keys.
When I took them back, I noticed that the keys were very hot, which greatly surprised me. And the second surprising thing: one of the two LR6 batteries was boiling hot, somewhat deformed, and it even looked like it had increased in size.
After about 30 seconds, the heat disappeared.
Can someone explain this phenomenon to me?
Thank you in advance.

On the other hand, for something that happened without understanding, the explanation is provided in the initial post in a precise way. That's good, it shows nice insight.
