Issue with gate remote control? Please. Solved

Hello,

I'm not sure where to post this message.

I'm having a problem; we just moved into a residence in Toulouse, and we only have one remote to open the entrance gate and the garage. However, we have two cars. The property manager does not want to give a second remote without renting another parking space, but there are no more spaces available.

My question is: are there universal remotes? If so, where can I find them? Are they reliable for all devices?

Hello, to my knowledge there are no universal remotes (imagine the attempted thefts, etc...).
It is possible to clone a remote at a locksmith, it all depends on its technology (some are protected with an anti-scanner system).

There isn’t really a universal remote control. However, you can find the model of your remote and program it yourself. The only drawback is that it’s not uncommon for the remote controls used in co-ownerships to be locked by the installers, in which case you won’t be able to program it and will have to go through your property manager.
