Issue with Brother-DCP 130C printer Solved

Hello,
I am getting this error message on the dashboard of my Brother DCP-130C printer:
Initialization impossible F4? The print head remains stuck on the right side, and after checking as indicated in the manual, there are no foreign objects or paper jams.
Is a head replacement necessary?

Hi, I also have a problem with my DCP 130C printer, it shows modification impossible 51. I checked if there was any paper or something inside, but nothing. I reset it, but still nothing. If you've found a solution, I would appreciate you sharing it with me, thanks.

Hello,
having the same problems and performed a jam check, a reset of the purge still shows message 51. Then I lifted the double cover of the scanner and observed the scanning when powering on the 220 V, and I found it strange that a gear wasn't turning all the time. So on the right side of the roller, there is a gear to check because in my case it was cracked and thus only turned with difficulty, I disassembled it, cleaned it as well as the shaft, then glued it. Upon reapplying power, there was no more error 51 and the printer works. For the duration, that will depend on the glue.
The gear is made of white plastic and has straight teeth, and is located at the end of the shaft of the roller on the right side, visible as soon as you open the 2 scanner covers. When the covers are lifted, you need to press a button on the right side to confirm the cover closure, otherwise, you won't see the scanning.

Hello,
I had the same problem as phil09, namely message 51. I glued the pinion back onto the axis with super glue, and it seems to hold. However, now I have another issue; I'm getting (init impossible AF).
Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?
