What time to arrive for a concert?

Good evening,
I am going to a Rihanna concert and it's the first time I will be attending a concert. The concert starts at 8:30 PM, I will be in the pit and I would like to know what time I should arrive to be right in front of the stage.

I think because I'm going too. I think that if we want to be there on time, we should arrive at 5 or 4 o'clock since they let people in around 7 o'clock. The first part starts at 8 o'clock, you see. But I'm really looking forward to it! Maybe we'll run into each other, kisses ^^

I disagree! In 2008, I attended a concert. I arrived maybe 3 hours before it started and I got a very good spot in the pit. I was just a few meters away from the stage!

If you want to get the best spots, you need to come the day before. Then, the later it gets, the more people arrive. If you come at noon, you'll be in the middle of the pit; if you come at 3 PM, you'll be towards the back. It's not about pushing, but there is a crowd movement. You start on the right, and by the end, you're on the left!

Me too, I lived in Bercy but I will leave my place super early around 12:00 even before. It's also my first time, I can't wait, it's not possible for me to go out the night before^^
