Hello everyone
I want to open a Publisher Document (.pub) without Publisher.
I've done quite a bit of research online and opinions are mixed; some say it's possible and others say it's not.
Someone I know insists that he has had this issue resolved with OpenOffice but he doesn't know how because he wasn't the one who did the manipulation.
I tested one thing, opening the Publisher document (.pub) with OpenOffice (writer), but it asks me to choose a filter from a list.
Does anyone have a solution or a firm answer: possible or not possible?
Thank you in advance.

This is technically impossible.
However, there is a simple and practical way to achieve this.
All you need to do is convert the .pub file to .pdf.
For this, there is a very well-made website where you can do this conversion for free.
To speed things up, you can use this link directly.
Just click on 'browse', select the relevant file, and click the 'convert' button.
You will then have the option to either download your .pdf file to your PC or to send it by email.
