Thomson TV without remote control locked

Question

Hello, I have a problem with my cathode-ray TV for which I don't have a remote control. It's magically stuck on a menu with language options! Even if I turn it off and back on, the language selection reappears. The problem is that on the TV there are only 4 BUTTONS: 2 for volume and 2 to change the channel! None of these buttons interact with my TV! This TV is only used for the game console, which is why I haven't bought a universal remote! Please help me if you have any methods to suggest; I would be thrilled!!! :)

Me too, I have the power button to put it in sleep mode and the + and - keys, and it doesn't work at all. I kept getting that annoying language screen popping up all the time. Grumpf!

Exactly the same problem… Help!! Even if I had a remote control, it wouldn’t work since the signal receiver in the TV is broken (well, something like that ^^)

I don't understand, I have the same problem. I don't have a remote and I pressed all the buttons on the TV at the same time but it didn't do anything... what the f... is this mess. If someone has a solution, that would be cool. I'm starting to go in circles in my room lol. There has to be a solution besides buying a new remote or a new TV.

Tell me if you found a solution!! Because this morning I had the same problem, I have the original remote but it doesn't want to work at all. I was able to navigate through the language menu using the buttons on the TV, but I'm stuck on "welcome, press ok," but the ok button on my remote doesn't work and there isn't an ok button on the TV, just 4 buttons like yours!! Grrr
Even though my TV is 6 years old, I don't want to change it. I just took out a mortgage for a house + wedding coming up, so it's really not the right time!!!

Good evening, I also have a problem with my TV. My daughter has locked all the buttons on the remote as well as those on the TV, and a lock symbol is displayed on the screen!! What can I do to unlock it??
Note: The brand of the TV is SANSUI, an old model.

No need for a TV anymore, friends ^^ With your smartphone or computer, watch TV series and movies directly as if you were in front of the "black box." Go check out this site. It has allowed me to get rid of my TV =D
