Printer photo paper issue

Hello,
It has been 2 days since my HP Photosmart C5180 All-in-One printer has had a problem: at startup, it tells me there is a "problem with the photo tray" and that I need to "push the output tray down." Not understanding what it means, I say "ok," it makes a noise and then the same error message.
If I say cancel, it goes to the menu, but as soon as I try to print something, the same error message appears.
I have already looked in the "help" section of the printer, no solutions...

Well, thank you in advance, and I hope you will help me soon...
Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 8.0

Hello,
I have the same problem with the same printer:
"Photo tray issue -- push the output tray down -- OK to continue"
In fact, there is a sensor under the output tray that tells the printer if it is completely lowered or not. It's this sensor that is malfunctioning: it doesn't detect that the tray is all the way down, even if it is. If the printer is still under warranty, now is the time to take advantage of it!
Otherwise, you have to disassemble the printer... That's the solution I'm going to try since "HP support" doesn't provide a solution, and if we're no longer under warranty, HP's response is basically "go look elsewhere," which I won't hesitate to do: I won't buy HP again.
There you go.
Good luck...
