Good evening everyone,

I have Windows XP Home SP2
for some time now I have to press F1 to start Windows, and then the PC takes a long time to boot up. Four days ago, it was impossible to open Windows.

I formatted C, but I still have the issue of having to press F1 to launch Windows, it’s really annoying.

Can you help me?

Thank you in advance, and have a good evening.

    Hi,

here is your response: go back into the BIOS and set the following to Disabled:

Wait For 'F1' If Error: Allows you to wait for the F1 key to be pressed in case of an error. Set to [Disabled].

P.S: If you don't know how to access the BIOS, see my site: http://h.deg.free.fr/Bios.html

      Good evening druid,

and thank you for your help, as I have solved my problem.

I went into the setup (I pressed the Delete key when starting my computer, and there I was in the BIOS, and I chose the F7 option, that is to say Load Default Settings, and I confirmed by pressing F10, and I restarted without getting stuck.

So thank you very much to you and the others.

      Have a good evening.
