Hello everyone,
I am new here, and this is my first message!
Here is my problem: I got a Coskin Frame Clock digital photo frame thanks to my Wanadoo points... I received it today. Excited, I set it up, try to plug it in... and nothing happens. I check the connections, it is detected, but as a "CD-ROM Drive." Intrigued, I rummage through the manual, which indicates that I should first insert the installation CD for the drivers before plugging it in. The only problem is, there was NO CD in the box. I searched and searched (just for the record, I even went down to the trash in my basement to check the boxes from the package...) and yet nothing, no CD. So I tried every possible maneuver: searching for the software online (noted as SITRONIX PHOTO VIEWER 2.0 in the images from the manual), updating the software from the PC, connecting with another cable, restarting... Nothing works!
I'm a bit on edge, but luckily I didn't pay for it, still, I would really like to be able to use it!
Could someone help me? That would be nice.
Thank you in advance.

Hello,
I also ordered the Cosk'in FrameClock 1.5" from Orange using my points and I didn’t receive any CD.
I connected it to the PC using the provided USB cable and chose the USB Connect option (the other being USB Power); from there, the PC automatically searched for the driver, found it, and installed it. Then it automatically started installing Photo Viewer Image Editor (V 6.0.1); this software should be provided and already pre-installed on the digital frame. I am currently loading the photos and I hope the rest will go smoothly.
I hope this helps you.
Best regards.
P.S. I am using Windows XP Home Edition.

I will explain to you how to solve the missing CD problem.
Connect your device (mine is written Frame Clock 1.5" Model N° CKF-EDO4ST-72) to your computer.
On your clock (I will call it that for simplicity), when you connect it, you will see the choice between USB power or USB download on the screen (if this is not the case, make sure the top screen is on)
Then press the down arrow and the power button (a circle with a line inside), and you will arrive at USB download.
Let your PC do its thing
Open the File Explorer and look for CD Drive... Photo viewer
Right-click and select explore (or open, depending on your Windows)
A bunch of files will appear => copy them all (except files ready to be burned to disk if you have any)
Create a new folder (anywhere on the PC) named: PHOTO FRAME CLOCK
Then paste the files into this folder
And there you go, the contents of the CD are on your PC (just launch the photo viewer file, and it will work ;p)

Hello,
I received the coskin today. I followed the instructions noted in this forum, but when I try to open the drive, the folder is completely empty; even using right-click open, there's nothing. I believe my coskin was delivered empty... Is there any way to recover the software I am desperately searching for on the internet?
Thank you in advance for your responses.

I feel the same as some others, I think it's crap! Impossible to transfer photos... unacceptable, it should work without having to do anything special normally... I'm sending it back tomorrow and I'm not going to recommend something like this!

Good evening,
The same problem with the screen not turning on despite changing the batteries. I spoke this afternoon with the Orange supplier who asked me to return it for exchange.
I will send it back tomorrow because the point is to have your favorite photos with you everywhere at the office or traveling.
I confirm that there is no need for an installation CD.
Good luck!

On mine, the software is already loaded (software) onto the device, no CD needed.
Then to activate it and load the photos, simply connect the USB cable to the device and the PC, wait a few seconds and the software will start, select the photos from the PC directories and then "add" them using "ADD" in the viewer (on the right side of the screen window) "Synchronize"... then... OK. Unplugging is all good. For your information, it didn't work in the viewer; and for good reason, ---> CHECK the orientation of the round batteries in the compartment (so embarrassing!)

Good evening,
I just received the Frame Clock and, like some others, I have a few issues with it.
First, I did not receive the CD with the drivers, and when I connect it to my PC, it does not install anything at all.
I copied all the files from the folder as indicated above, but nothing works.
In the folder, it seems to me that not everything is there, here's basically what I have ( http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=394872Sans_titre.jpg ), and when I launch photo viewer, it opens a DOS window that closes automatically ^^!
Anyway, I would like to know if you have more files in this folder, and if so, whether there is a possibility to upload or share the missing files. Or else, see how you managed to get it to work.
Thank you very much and happy new year :)

Hello,
No need for an installation CD. Connect the device to the PC, on the digital frame menu click on USB connection, then click on yes. There’s no problem downloading the photos. However, despite trying various batteries, the top screen isn’t working. In fact, to watch the slideshow, I need to be connected via the USB cable to a computer. Does anyone have a solution?

Good evening,
Same problem. I've changed the batteries 3 times in 1 week. The screen refuses to turn on. I've contacted Orange twice by email. They didn't even bother to respond, which doesn't really surprise me. This device is a piece of crap and I feel like I've been robbed by Orange, who must no longer be unaware of the problem. I won't even bother returning it, for the price it costs anyway!!!

I have the same problem as all the other participants; it's impossible to upload photos to the device. There is no CD-ROM in the package. I was deceived by the Orange store.
I received the same product from Orange and followed DARKI's fairly clear instructions. I installed the software on my hard drive (6 files) and had no screen power-up issues after inserting the batteries.
To transfer your photos, you need to connect the app via USB cable, which opens the software's home page (with the 2 original photos), then select the photos by opening the directory at the top left of the page; this will display the photos on the left and in the frame when you click on them. At this point, you have the option to choose a view of your photo or the entire selection using the dashed rectangle at the bottom left; then you transfer the photo to the right under the original photos by clicking on add. You also have the option to delete the original photos. Don't forget to sync your photos before closing the page and disconnecting the app.
To view your photos, turn on the device again and they will appear in the device's frame.

Hello
I have the same problem, no installation CD delivered with this gift received thanks to Orange points.
It's useless and good for the trash.

Hello, have you found a solution for the installation CD?
I have the same problem and can't find anything online.
Thank you.

Hello,
same problems for me: no installation CD + black screen. Thanks DARKI for the driver issue resolution: the copy/paste worked well. As for the black screen issue, it seems that the round AAA batteries are too small for the slot. So, zzzziiiipppp they slip out and that's why the screen is black. Putting them back in place works.

how do you turn off the ringtone on the frame clock? Nothing is mentioned in the manual. Do you have any idea?
You just need to proceed as described on page 8 of the French manual in "Simultaneous Setting of the Alarm and Hourly Beep"; this allows you to turn alarms on or off depending on the number of presses on the button represented by two opposite circular arrows on the right side of the frame. To access this mode, you must first press the button represented by a clock on the left side of the frame, then by successive presses on the previously described button, the alarm symbols will appear or disappear.
I hope this is clear enough for you.
See you soon.
I hope you can provide me with additional information.
Orange should receive a lot of feedback regarding this product (effective absence of the CD Rom despite its mention in the notice) if people are not as lucky as I was to come across this forum, or take the time to intuitively troubleshoot like you.

exactly the same problems as you for the photos
