Hello,
I would like to present my problem with launching the game Resident Evil 5 on PC. I start the game, a black screen appears saying:
"RE5DX9.exe - Unrecoverable application error
ERROR6: Unsupported pixel shader version detected. 2.0 "
What is the origin of this message and how can I fix it?
I'm not very tech-savvy, but I think my configuration might help, so here it is:
Operating System:
Windows XP Professional (build 2600) Service Pack 3
Processor:
Intel Pentium M 740
Motherboard:
Acer, Inc. LuganoII Not Applicable
Memory:
502 MB (0 sticks)
I thought maybe the issue was related to my laptop's graphics card.
Thank you.

I thought that maybe the problem was related to the graphics card of my laptop.
You're absolutely right, and the message says it: Unsupported pixel shader version detected. 2.0
Basically, this means that your graphics card does not have the Pixel Shaders of the correct version.
Unfortunately, you won't be able to play it until you change your graphics card. -

Sorry for the double post, but could someone recommend me a graphics card with a good price-performance ratio that can run all the latest games? Thank you, kind regards :)
