PHOTOSHOP: restore default settings

Hello,
I'm trying to reset the default settings in Photoshop (and also DXO) but I'm having trouble...
Basically, every time I open an image, I have (for example) the grid (CTRL+H) showing up and it's annoying to have to get rid of it every time!
Do you know how to do this, please?

I tried saving my workspace but that doesn't change anything.

    Hello,

    To restore the default settings for all preferences:
    you press and hold the Alt+Ctrl+Shift keys while launching Photoshop (taken from Photoshop online help)
