Hello,

Why use a DVD? Unless this image is that of a DVD, it can burn the ISO onto a CD-R; 98.5 MB on a DVD is wasteful. Unless CdBurnerXP only burns DVD images, but in that case, the software is useless.

Are you trying to engrave in overcapacity?

It seems that Cd burner Xp has this problem recurrently: you may want to consider another software
    : InfraRecorder, burnatonce, IMGBurn, etc...

There is no offense in asking: overcapacity is when you try to burn more than what the CD can hold, for example, you put 710 MB on a standard 700 MB CD.

    ahhhh ok !

    Well no no...

I formatted my CD, and now there are 186 MB left (the file I want to burn is 98.5 MB)

This software must work on Vista. Have you checked your ISO image?
You set everything up correctly, but use a DVD, not a CD.

Here’s how to do it (in English):
    - choose "Burn ISO image"
    - import ISO file under "Select ISO image to burn", set the speed to the lowest (after inserting DVD) on the right
    - under "Target device" check if the correct drive is indicated
    - further down check "finalize disc" and "Verification after burning"
    - finally click at the bottom on "Burn Disc"

    That’s all.

Alright, so the CD you want to burn is a CD-RW. I need to know what you want to do: normally, an ISO file is the image of a CD that we want to burn onto a blank CD so that we can read the CD later. Unless you want to make a copy of this .iso file, it will not be readable unless you open it with a virtual drive...

I want to burn an operating system (Toutou Linux) so that I can run it on an old PC.

The original support for Toutou Linux is likely a CD, considering it was only 98.5 MB. I would burn the image onto a new CD-R blank using the procedure mentioned by Aloes.

    Good luck.
