Hello, I would like to know if I can burn an 8.5 GB DVD with any burner?
And where can I find the reference of my burner? Looking forward to your responses, best regards.
This is to burn a navigation DVD, as mine is damaged.
Configuration: Windows XP AOL 9.0

In the Device Manager, you should find the model with the manufacturer's name on its website, you will have the specifications.

For example, on my laptop "Philips DVD+6RW SDVD8820"
then google with the specifications Philips SDVD8820 you learn:
# DVD+R burning speed 8x/DVD+R burning speed 8x/DVD-ROM reading speed 8x/DVD+R DL burning speed 4x/DVD-R burning speed 8x/DVD-RW burning speed 6x/
DVD-R DL burning speed 4x/CD-R disc burning speed 24X/CD-RW disc burning speed 24X/CD-ROM reading speed 24X

For 8.5GB DVDs, you need a "DL" dual-layer burner (Dual Layer in English)

that's it.
