Hello, I have a wifi connection via my Freebox HD, and when my sister is on the wifi, I can't connect because it shows: IP address conflict, and even on my sister's computer, so both computers are blocked. However, one at a time works perfectly. What should I do to be able to connect both computers at the same time and both via wifi (without connecting directly with an ethernet or USB cable)?

Hello, I have two computers at home (one is a laptop and the other is a normal one). On the normal computer, I plugged in a USB Wi-Fi adapter and it works very well. But in the evening, my father and I connect at the same time (him on the laptop and me on the normal one) and the internet stops working!!!
Is there a configuration to do so that we can connect at the same time??? My father knows how to do it now but he doesn't want to tell me (he wants me to figure it out by myself).

With two laptops, once DHCP mode is activated, are there any other settings to enable to use the Freebox in Wi-Fi mode simultaneously?

Hello, you can order a Wi-Fi socket from Free for 27 or 29 euros payable in three installments, so you can connect several PCs and wirelessly as well.

    Good evening
Another solution, one PC connected via USB and the other via ethernet.
Don't forget to configure the Freebox as a router on the Free website.
    Or you buy a router....
    Good luck
    See you!

Thank you, but you might find me silly for asking this, but if I buy a router, do I need to have another internet subscription or can I connect it to my Freebox since I am a beginner? Thanks and have a good day.

    In all cases
    1) In your Freebox console (my username and password)
    enable router mode
enable Wi-Fi mode and set a more secure password
request a fixed IP address for easier access
you may need to wait 24 hours for processing by Free
    restart the Freebox box
    2) buy an Ethernet hub (costs about 15 euros)
    3) for 2 PCs, have 3 straight and shielded RJ45 cables of the desired length
connect the first RJ45 cable from the Freebox (Ethernet) to the hub
from the hub, connect your 2 cables to the Ethernet cards of your PCs
restart both PCs...go to network connections, you will see the local network appear...right-click on it
check to see your icon and apply
the icon should appear at the bottom right of the taskbar next to the clock
request a Windows update in programs or try directly through the Internet Explorer icon
    it should work
    Cheers!

    Hello,
sorry but there's no need to buy a router, the Freebox acts as a router, you just need to buy a "switch" and then plug your computers into that. I've connected 3 and it works great.

        Hello
It's really very difficult to read your message.
I remind you that SMS language is to be avoided in a forum.
For your problem, I assume you have a Freebox.
Have you configured the Freebox as a router in your management interface?
        https://subscribe.free.fr/login/
You need to enter your credentials (phone number and password), then go to the Internet section and configure the Freebox router.
        See you!

Little reminder, as it seems you haven't read carefully:
        https://subscribe.free.fr/login/
You enter your credentials (Phone number and password), then go to the Internet section and configure the router of the Freebox.
The phone number is mandatory, it's not your email account credentials. (France Telecom or Freebox number).
The password is the one stated in your contract with Free (the one provided by Free to get your ADSL connection).
        See you!

No, there's no need for a new subscription.
You connect your router to the Freebox (which stays in normal mode), and then either you connect your computers to the router with RJ45 cables, or via Wi-Fi, or both (one by RJ45 and the other by Wi-Fi).
    Good luck
    See you!

    Hello
If the Freebox is set up as a router and Wi-Fi, it's possible to have one computer connected via cable and the other via Wi-Fi.
    Good luck
    See you!

    Hello,

EXACT for the switch, it's not a router that is needed because the Freebox is already a router, you just need to connect the PCs and the Freebox to the switch and declare the Freebox as the router (NAT mode) with Free.
Then you can connect as many PCs as your switch has network ports.

Wi-Fi is also a solution if your PCs are far from the switch.

    See you!

    Hello,
I have the same problem, I have a Freebox at my parents' house that is connected to the landline and I would like to connect with my mobile. However, it's an old Freebox, it's not a Wi-Fi, and I am not in a non-degrouped area so I think that even with a Wi-Fi plug it wouldn't work. How can I do this?
    Thank you for your help.

Well, if it's an old Freebox, you should still have the Ethernet connection.

A response may be a bit late, but to use a switch behind the Freebox, you need to enable the Freebox in router mode, and in the router options, enable DHCP (yes indeed), which will assign IP addresses to all your PCs. There are quite a few possibilities for automatic addressing or even based on MAC addresses, have fun :D

    Hello,
I have the same problem, I need to connect 2 computers to the freebox (1 via ethernet cable, the other via wifi). Unfortunately, when I turn on the wifi mode of the freebox and try to connect a second computer, the connection drops and doesn't work for either of them. I'm currently trying to configure it in router mode, but the problem is that I need to connect both computers via ethernet cable (but one is too far away), right??

    Thanks for the help!
