Something crazy! wifi network card removed

Good evening,

After weeks of searching, I just understood why I no longer have Wi-Fi on my PC. It’s my new Orange 3G key that directly removed my network card from my laptop (an HP Pavilion tx 2000). I just discovered it because the same thing happened to a colleague of mine.

The problem now is knowing how to reinstall my network card to have Wi-Fi again? In Device Manager, Network adapters, there are three card names: an NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller and two Bluetooth peripherals.

Today my computer tells me that no Wi-Fi network card exists on my PC.

Thank you.

If I understood correctly, the WiFi driver has been removed. Go to Computer or Workstation (XP) and right-click it = then Manage. Then go to Device Manager, look in Network adapters to see if your network is present. It should be there but the drivers are uninstalled. Go to the Touslesdrivers site = https://www.touslesdrivers.com/index.php?v_page=29
Click on START DETECTION. When the detection is complete, it will give you the list of missing drivers for your computer or the available updates. It will also detect those for the WiFi = you reinstall the WiFi drivers.

It asks me to install a Windows 32-bit or 64-bit plugin. which one should I take since I know nothing about it?

What kind of system do you have? Vista? Recent? Try 32-bit or 64-bit. If it doesn’t work with one, it will work with the other.

woaaah I’m completely lost in all this data. LOL

when it says "drivers available" do I have to install them? by the way for my Nvidia network card it shows I don’t know how many files.

okay so let's take things step by step. you want the driver for your WiFi card. you should have a driver that should say something like "Wireless network adapter" or "Wireless network adapter". If there are several, look at the driver date. use the one that is the most recent.
Start with your network card. Leave the rest.

For example for my PC it says:
"Atheros Communications Inc. AR5001 Wireless Network Adapter

I just saw this below, do you think it's okay?

Hewlett-Packard Wireless (Bluetooth + WLAN) Interface [Integrated Module]
    Drivers installed:

    Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard | INF file: oem20.inf | Class: bluetooth | Version: 6.2.6000.1 | Date: 19/06/2007

    Available drivers:
Andrea Electronics BT-200 (drivers 5.2.221.0 WHQL)
    Manufacturer: IVT Corporation | INF file: btcusb.inf | Class: bluetooth | Version: 6.1.26.86 | Date: 06/03/2008 | Release date: 08/11/2008

    Asus WL-BTD201M (drivers 5.1.0.4500 WHQL)
    Manufacturer: Broadcom | INF file: btwusb.inf | Version: 5.1.0.4500 | Date: 01/11/2007 | Release date: 05/03/2008

The second one is the most recent with the date 06/03/2008 and publication date 08/11/2008

install it and see if it works. It should do it.

Well I clicked on the second link below and it downloads a 184 MB file.
    Asus WL-BTD201M (drivers 5.1.0.4500 WHQL)
    Manufacturer: Broadcom | INF File: btwusb.inf | Version: 5.1.0.4500 | Date: 01/11/2007 | Release date: 05/03/2008

the problem is that since I have a connection speed of 10 KB/s it will take about 4h30 to download. so I just have to wait. by the way, why is it so slow?

The first link failed because it couldn’t find the webpage and on top of that it was for the sound card.

otherwise thanks Manu you’re a champ!

I’ll let you know tomorrow if it worked.

    Have a good evening

pffffffffffffff it's crazy how slow it is. I'm running at 6.6 KB/s. I'm only 1% into the file yet I have a 4 MB download speed. uploading is a bit of a nightmare though

Finally, after a few hours of downloading, it’s drivers for Bluetooth and not Wi-Fi.

here are the items I have:

    - Software Folder
    - CAMAgic Mobile Folder
    - AutoPlay Folder
    - Acrobat Folder
    - Autorun

I tried the Autorun which brought me to Bluetooth

Do you think the Wi-Fi installation is inside one of the 4 folders?

Could you provide the links that are detected for the WIFI driver? (184 MB is impossible)

Read the charter again; it can help you understand "how it works".

If you have nothing else when you do Tousmesdrivers (see my link and the example for my PC), it should work. It includes Bluetooth and WLAN (Wireless), so install and check.

Otherwise, look through all my drivers again.

Okay, I'm going to work, talk to you later.

unfortunately when I try to install Bluetooth, it shows me "an older version of Bluetooth software is already installed on this computer. the installation cannot continue"

    pfffff it's not possible!

rewrite all drivers. Do a copy-paste of the entire list and post it here.

Well, finally I’ve opted for buying a powerline duo to get Internet. pfffffffffff

but I’d like to give you the list of drivers to fix the problem, but it tells me that the license for my plugin (which I installed via their site a few days ago) is invalid and therefore I can’t run the detection anymore
