Hello,

I got a Kira series 1100 netbook for Christmas with Windows XP Home Edition. I tried to create a partition on the hard drive, but I wasn't successful... I followed a tutorial online, but I think I messed up with some quota stuff... well, I didn't really understand. So I would like to reset the netbook, but I've never had an installation CD. I would like you to please explain how to do a factory reset and how to create two partitions on the hard drive...

    find yourself an external CD drive that you connect via USB

      No, the netbook doesn't have one, and when I started it up, I wasn't asked to make any backup CDs, and the family computer runs on Vista....

    Well, if you want to reinstall XP, you'll need a CD first...
    Unless your computer has a recovery partition, which doesn't seem to be the case if you've messed with the partitions, so get yourself a CD.

    Comment faire pour utiliser un CD ? Mon notebook ne possède pas de lecteur CD, est-ce que c'est à partir de l'ordinateur familial ? Merci.
