Change the cartridges on an Epson Stylus SX215

On the printer directly

- Turn on the printer
- Press the Index sheet and scan buttons simultaneously (below) This opens the menu on the micro screen
With the arrows below the micro screen, go to section 4/6 cartridge replacement
- Press start (green button)
- Lift the cover
- Open the cartridge box
- Change it and close the box
- Press start (green button)
- Press the copy button once
- Press the power button to turn it off and restart

And there you go

To replace the cartridge of an EPSON Stylus SX215 on Windows 7, follow this path:

- Control Panel
- View Devices and Printers
- Epson Stylus SX215
- Customize your printer
- Advanced
- Default printing
- Utility
- Ink cartridge replacement

Then, you need to click [next] [next] etc. and after a while, the window will move the cartridge tray to the right place!

to change an Epson Stylus SX 205 cartridge
here's how to proceed: turn on your printer, then press the stop button
two to three times and the carriage will come to the right window allowing you to change your cartridges.

I found a solution for the cartridge carriage when the printer is connected to the PC.
First, forget the original paper manual.
Turn on the printer.
Then, on the PC, pretend to want to print.
In your menu: file => print => pages 1 to 1 (you never know, it might print anyway) => OK.
Normally, a medium window will appear on the right side of the screen, indicating the ink levels of the different cartridges.
Click on "How to do it" and follow the procedure.
Since you will know which cartridge needs to be changed and the carriage will have positioned itself "just right" via the PC, all you have to do is continue following the procedure.

I have an EPSON SX105 printer. I obviously use Epson ink cartridges (T0715), and until now I have never had any problems changing them; I just had to click on an option "cartridge change," but now I can no longer find this option.
I managed to replace my empty cartridge (black) and since then I have been unable to print (photos, for example); I am being told that my cartridges are not compatible with my printer. I don't know what to do! and it's driving me crazy.

OK, I just spoke to Epson technical support, when you press the stop button once (short press), the carriage moves to the center and there is a plastic arrow indicating which cartridge needs to be changed. Press the stop button again (short press) and it indicates any other cartridge that may need to be changed. If the carriage positions itself to allow cartridge changes, it means it has indicated what needs to be changed. That’s it.

I had a lot of problems with this Epson SX205 printer, so Epson is finished for me; it's a brand that blocks when you use generic cartridges to force you to buy only Epson cartridges. I managed to work a bit by disabling the status monitor function, but now it's blocking again. That's it, I'm boycotting Epson. I'll choose other brands. See you later.

Absolutely agree, Marie-France: EPSOM will surely receive the NOBEL for
complication. Manufacturers of printers, computers, cameras, amplifiers, etc., feel compelled to equip these "toys" with a multitude

I believe that electronic creators take pleasure in complications

I don't know this machine, but generally speaking, you just need to lift the cover, with the machine turned on, so that the cartridges come to the right place... sometimes, they "wander" around beforehand to indicate which one or ones need to be changed...
There may also be a need to press the button with a picture of a drop of ink, which may blink in case of an empty cartridge....

after a long search on the net for changing the ink cartridges on a sx 205, because after putting new Epson cartridges for a "sx 205", the light still stays on, I have the solution that works:
firstly remove the cartridges, clean the heads well with 90-degree alcohol
using cotton swabs, apply alcohol on the heads, use a flashlight if necessary to see clearly....
second step, turn on the printer, open the cover, press the stop button several times to position the cartridge compartment in the middle as indicated by the symbol on the cover, place the new cartridges in place, turn off the printer, turn it back on, perform a test print....
