Unable to uninstall Acronis True Image

Hello,
Here's my problem.
I tried a demo version of Acronis True Image 2009, then I did some backups to test it.
Now the first problem,
_it messed up the MBR (which should be normal) because it's supposed to boot from it in case of failure, and also I missed the checkbox asking to restore the MBR, so I'm getting a message at startup, but it still works.
_Then, since the demo date expired, I tried version 2010, I wanted to uninstall the old version, and now I can't uninstall anything, neither in add/remove programs, nor in program files (even with all rights), nor in the registry.
Moreover, when I want to install the new version over it, Windows Installer detects an error (2718), supposedly from the package.
So I'm calling on the specialists of this software to first help me remove all traces of the first version and install the latest one.
I'm counting on your dedication, as I'm not a big computer specialist (I understand a bit though).
Thank you in advance
Gilles
Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 3.5.3

Revo Uninstaller no longer has any effect.

    Hello

I managed to delete all the files in program files and common files.
By going through the task manager, I discovered that the Acronis services were still active after uninstalling Acronis.
I stopped these services and was able to delete the files without any issues; then I restarted and it's all fixed

A little run of CCleaner to clean the registry. And there you go, no more Acronis.

By the registry base, you cannot delete the keys?

    Hello,
version 9 is not supported, so it doesn't appear in the list of programs to uninstall.
If you see any other solutions, feel free to let me know, because right now I'm quite troubled; I'd really like to clean it up to try version 10.
I managed to remove everything, partly with unlocker, (but not in the registry), unfortunately the boot sector got damaged, and I had to perform a restoration via the console to recover Windows.
I've tried several times to do an upgrade installation, but each time windows installer encounters an error (2718) if that helps you.
I don't know what else to do.
    Thanks for your help.

re; if it's a trial version that you installed, the keys may be secured, otherwise everyone would uninstall Acronis every 15 days and reinstall it. So maybe find these infamous keys. But with what! all while staying within the law.

And in "Registry Editor", "Edit", "Find", "tishell timounter", it finds nothing? I believe fatfreddy asked you about it before!! Is this the procedure you followed?

    Thank you udodirck,
    I hadn't proceeded that way,
I searched for "tishell and timemonter", it deleted them well, but on the other hand, I still have a lot of keys and values that I can't delete.
Actually, I'd like to keep Acronis, so I've kept my secure zone and my backups, so I'm not sure if that's what's left in the registry. I'm hesitant to delete everything related to Acronis for fear of startup issues.
Now that everything is good in terms of folder deletion, I'm considering trying version 10 again, because as I told you, I must be having problems with Windows Installer, it's giving me errors, I'd like your opinion.
    Thanks to you.
Don't worry if I don't respond right away, I live in the Caribbean (a 6 hour time difference for you), so for me, it's time to go to work.

Re: make a system backup (create a restore point) and delete everything related to Acronis and try version 10; if it works, great, otherwise you can revert to your restore point.

    Well, here it is,
After cleaning up the registry and creating a clean restore point, I tried to reinstall version 10 without success, with the message:
Windows installer encountered an unexpected error while installing this package, it may be a package-related error. The error code is 2718.
The same goes for version 9 with error code 2356.
Just for your information, each time the files install correctly (Program Files, common files, and they show up in add and remove programs, the shortcuts are on the desktop), but then I get the error message.
So I'm at a loss, I don't know what else to do, maybe I should investigate the Windows installer issue, but I'm not very good at tinkering with Vista.
That said, I tried installing something else, and that worked.
If you have any other ideas, feel free to let me know.

I am not very knowledgeable about computers; when I had software uninstallation problems, in 100% of the cases, the software was not set as "administrator." I have Windows 7. Here’s what I do:
    1. Right-click on the icons of the software you want to uninstall.
    2. Click on "Properties."
    3. Click on "Compatibility."
    4. Uncheck the box at the bottom "Run this program as an administrator."
    5. Go to the program uninstallation page...and that's it.
    Thank you for informing me.

I struggled too, then I bought "auslogic boot speed".
    -Section "installed software".
    -"uninstall acronis".
    -Refusal; error.
-Do nothing, then go back to uninstall Acronis and click on the arrow and
    -Force the uninstallation.

A few seconds later, Acronis True Image Home will have disappeared.

Good evening, Windows does not recognize it as a program but as a device.
You need to go to the Device Manager, then click on the + sign in front of Acronis Devices, then uninstall Acronis True Image Backup Archive Explorer. Next, go to program files\Acronis\delete. Then program Files\common files\Acronis\delete. There you go, that's the procedure.

Indeed, it is present in the device manager, I uninstalled it hoping not to see it again on the next restart thanks ;)

    Hello,
I did what you suggested, but nothing has gone.
So I deleted the files one by one in "program files," but I still have 2 left (tishell and timounter) that I can’t seem to delete; apparently, they are being used by another program, but I can't find out which one.
Acronis is still present in add/remove programs.
In my opinion, it comes from windows installer, and I don’t know what to do anymore, so if you have any more suggestions, I'm ready to follow them.
    Thank you.
