hard drive access new Livebox Closed

Question

Hello,
I have the new live box under Mac Snow Leopard. I would like to use the new feature of the livebox that allows network access to a hard drive or USB stick connected to one of the livebox's USB ports. There is no documentation for Mac. Their website only explains the procedure for Windows!
Does anyone have any ideas? When I access the administration interface of the livebox (192.168.1.1), I can see the hard drive in "my devices", but I can't figure out how to access its content.... If someone can help me... Thank you!

Prerequisites: your PC must be connected to the internet via your Livebox 2.

1 Launch your Windows Explorer. To do this, click on the icon located in the taskbar at the bottom of your screen:
2 Enter in the address bar: \livebox
3 Then select the folder of your choice to access all the files stored on your hard drive or USB stick

On Mac, I can't find a network browser.. I tried from Finder ⌘K (connect to server) and typed \\livebox but it attempts to open an AFP connection to \\livebox and inevitably returns a connection failure message...

I have the same problem as you, I can't find the solution anywhere, and I have to admit that it's starting to annoy me, I've been searching for 3 hours now ^^

I hope it doesn't give me the same problem with the printer, because otherwise I might go crazy!

I don't have the courage to call the hotline, when I tell her that I'm on Mac the hostess is going to turn blue, and anyway they work with question and answer, so if she gives me the same answers as the ones on the Orange website, I won't be any further ahead!

I took the plunge, I called the hotline! Be careful, around 7 PM, it gets congested on the line... It took me 15 minutes to hear a human voice, who told me I needed to be transferred to the Mac service... 25 minutes later, I finally got a response!

"Well, I have no idea, I haven't tested it, and I have nothing about it in my database, it's a bit like no one has asked the question."

So here I am, facing a nice dilemma; either I make an appointment with a technician for €50, or, well, nothing... I chose the nothing, it would be quite something to make Mac users pay when the procedure is simple and explained for Windows!

I'm going to post on the Orange forum since there seem to be Mac service moderators from Orange hanging around there, in case they have the solution, but I have a bad feeling about it...

incredible.... I had a technician from Orange who called me back after a week to tell me that they had checked with their development team, and that this feature was not implemented on Mac....

Anyway, thanks Hamm for your help and your research. I'm going to try the solution from the topic right away and I’ll repost here for the result!

On the desktop, select the menu "Go > Connect to Server..."
In the "Server Address:" field, type smb://192.168.1.1 if it is the IP address of your Livebox and then click the "Connect" button.
The system asks for a username and a password. These are the administrator credentials for the Livebox. Enter them and click OK. The disk will mount on the desktop.
