Hello, I borrowed Sacred (the first one) a few days ago but I can't play it. I've been searching for a solution online for at least 72 hours but nothing!
Let me start by stating my configuration:
AMD X2 dual-core 2.10GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530 Series graphics card
Windows Vista 32-bit
I think that's about it.
So here are the various problems I've encountered:
- installation without issues, the problem occurs when launching the game, where a physical memory screen (blue screen) appears, displaying the name of a file that is sshdrv76.sys.
- then I tried to update the game, but it didn't do much; I no longer had the blue screen but when analyzing the CD, it said it was a fake even though it's the original game.
- I tried to download a no-CD patch for this version of the game (with the update) and this time another error message appeared referring me to the error report file in the game folder.
- the next day I tried to launch it again and magically it started; everything went well until the character selection screen where I saw not characters but some kind of wireframe (it's like the characters went through the washing machine and came out in a bunch of wires lol). I still tried to start a game and the game launched; I saw the map for about 1 second and then a black screen gradually appeared like a cutscene and nothing happened anymore, I had to do Alt-F4 to exit.
- I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling it, and then it was the same old story, blue screen ...
Please, I urgently request your help; it's a game I borrowed and I would like to enjoy it a bit.
Thank you

Response: Lending is illegal (yes) once installed on a computer, certain games won't install anymore (CD Key)

The problem is not there; it's not the CD key that would cause a void in physical memory and the other issues I've had.

Lol! I'm talking about Sacred the First of the Name, I would be annoyed if my computer wasn't powerful enough for a game that runs on a Pentium III with 256 MB of RAM xD Did you check my config well? Haha!

His computer is sufficient; it's not just a computer for browsing the internet and photo editing, it's a computer for normal gaming (normal as in medium graphics for current games and high graphics for games from 2 or 3 years ago).

- and on top of that you post here >https://www.jeuxvideo.com/forums/1-8678-4078301-1-0-1-0-impossible-de-jouer.htm

Chico, we're looking at the Minimal/Recommended configuration, not the Maximum.

The issue is not whether my PC's hardware is suitable for recent games or not. Personally, I couldn't care less about not being able to play games like Crysis or the latest releases at full capacity; please get back to the real problem.
(Yes, I posted on jv.com, and so what? Do I not have the right to post on different forums to increase my chances of finding a solution to my problem?)-
- It's weird, I don't see any configuration for Vista >https://www.jeuxvideo.com/jeux/pc/00011797-sacred.htm

Neji is looking for "Can you run it" on Google and there you search in the S for Sacred.
