Based on the information you provided us, we recommend that you reset your TV
by following these steps:

-Press and hold the EXIT button for 10 seconds until a message (restore default settings) appears on your screen, then switch to OK, at which point the television will turn off.
-Turn your TV back on and perform a channel search by going through Plug and Play.

If, after performing this action, you encounter the same issue, we invite you to
contact one of our technicians at 01 48 63 00 00 (Monday to Saturday from 9 AM to 8 PM, standard call rates apply) - by pressing option 2 then option 2 and finally option 2 on your phone's keypad.

If the TV does not save this setting (the melody returns when powered on next time), it means your TV is in shop demo mode. You need to switch it to home mode! The procedure depends on the model... For me, it was:

Menu > Setup > Plug & Play > Home Use

I've had my TV for 5 years and I couldn't figure out how to turn off the sound at startup that drives me crazy!
Every time I restarted, the option would reactivate... So I've been in demo mode for 5 years.

You need to update the Samsung software before the manipulations described above, and it works...

I had the same problem. Updating the software does nothing; my kids had activated the store demo mode.
To remove it, you need to:
- Turn on the TV
- Press and hold the exit button on the remote for 30 seconds
- Cancel the store demo mode, which will reset the TV, so you'll have to set up all the channels again, then follow what everyone else explains to delete the melody.

Note that to activate the store demo mode, you have to press the menu button on the TV directly for 10 seconds.
