Samsung TV music on startup Solved

Question

Hello, When we turn on or off our Samsung LCD TV, there is a rather loud and very annoying tune. Does anyone know how to turn it off? Thank you for your help!

Regarding the malfunction you are experiencing with your device, here is the solution we propose:
- Go to your television menu
- Scroll down to the gear icon (SETTINGS) and
press Enter.
- Then scroll down to the GENERAL menu and press Enter.
- Next, scroll down to the MELODY menu and disable this option according to
your preferences.

On my side, the "melody" menu appears at the bottom of the configuration tab
(gear icon) and I do not have a general submenu.

Hello,

to disable this music, you need to go to the settings menu of your TV, where you will find an option to adjust the volume level of the music upon turning the TV on and off; and you can completely disable it. I owned a Samsung LCD TV for a few weeks and I turned off that "melody" (that's the term that appears in the settings menu) on it.

I have the same problem, and the issue is that it doesn't save the settings. When I restart my TV, the options return to what they were before, so the melody comes back.

If it’s the same problem I encountered, there were no settings saved because the TV was in store demo mode.
You need to then press the 'Volume' button on the TV and while the icon is displayed on the screen, hold down the 'Menu' button for 5 seconds.
'Standard' will then appear on the screen and the changes will be applied.

Hello, I have the same issue as Yannick,
I have had a Samsung TV LE40B530 for a few months now, and for the past two days, the melody at startup and when I turn off the TV appears. I went into the TV settings to disable the melody, but when I turn off the TV, no settings are saved.
What should I do because it’s a bit annoying, especially when turning off the TV at night.

Based on the information you provided, we recommend resetting your TV by proceeding as follows:

-Hold the EXIT button for 10 seconds until a message (restore default values) appears on your screen, then switch to OK; the television will turn off.
-Turn your TV back on and search for channels again via Plug and Play.

If, after performing this procedure, you encounter the same malfunction, we invite you to contact one of our technicians at 01 48 63 00 00 (from Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., cost of a call not charged extra) - by pressing option 2, then option 2, and finally option 2 on your phone's keypad.
