Issue with GIGASET AS28H phone

Hello,
I also just bought the Gigaset AS28H.
My issue is that I don't know where to click when I read in the manual: Menu/settings/ok
There is no menu button, I have clicked on all the buttons, the only message that appears is: Base registration.
I have already performed the operation mentioned above by pressing the base for 22 seconds!! but 20 minutes later, the same message still appears: base registration.
Thank you for your help, I really need it!!

    Hello Christel,

    The first thing to do is to register the handset on the base.
    Just place the device on the base, and the registration will happen automatically (if there are multiple handsets, you need to repeat the operation, each device must be positioned on the base until it is recognized).
    The base means the main unit!! So the one that connects to the ADSL box.
    Note: This operation can also be done manually.

    The menu button is located below "Menu" on the LCD screen (a button with a horizontal line).

      Hello Hervé,

      Do you know how it is possible to retrieve messages on this phone (AS28H)? The answering machine is working because when I call from another handset (like a mobile phone), the answering machine starts normally after a few rings and it's possible to leave a message.
      Later, when I want to access my answering machine (I should note that the button with the envelope symbol is flashing red to indicate a message), I can do it either through this button or directly via the 1 key on the handset. At this point, 3103 (I deduce this is the answering machine number) dials automatically but it just rings busy.
      I must have a good ten messages that I can't retrieve.

        Actually, it all depends on the phone operator:
        France Télécom: 3103, Neuf: #9, Free: **1, etc...

        To check missed calls:

        actually, I couldn't find the manual anymore.

        But then if I have to dial **1 to listen to the messages, what is the purpose of the button with the flashing envelope?

    Hello to you, I had the same problem as you. After numerous attempts and failures, I realized that I had to check my live box despite my 5 red lights being on... and it turned out to be a break in the telephone connection board. I had to replace this live box with a new one, then install it, and my phones are working normally again. Note that they reset themselves automatically. I hope your phones are working normally again as well... Guy
