Fun game ideas for a birthday party

The "Times up" is a really great game. I've played it several times with people of all ages. You can find the rules online and play the game yourself (everyone writes down 5 names of famous people or I’ve also done it with expressions, it’s really awesome!).

I saw this which might be fun during the meal...

The detective and the assassin

Game preparation
Cut as many small papers as there are guests.
On one of the papers, write assassin
On another, write detective
On the remaining ones, write nothing at all

Objective of the game
A detective must try to uncover an assassin before the latter eliminates the other players.

Game progression
The participants sit in a circle so that everyone can see each other face to face.
The small papers are distributed: only the detective reveals his identity
It is enough for the assassin to give a simple wink to kill any player.
The participant who has been assassinated exclaims "dead" and turns his back to the circle (or stretches out his legs, a way to remember that he is dead)
The assassin can also choose accomplices by sticking out his tongue at them. They have the power to kill but cannot stick out their tongue.

The assassin is not allowed to attack the detective. If he tries, he will be eliminated!
When the detective sees a player wink, he shouts his name.
If that player is indeed the assassin, the detective has won.
If it was only an accomplice, the game resumes.

Essayez le jeu du parapluie, les règles sont simples : tu écris des gages sur des petits papiers, tu les mets dans des envelopes et tu les accroches à ton parapluie. Ensuite, tu le fais tourner autour de la table et dès que tu arrêtes la musique, la personne qui a le parapluie prend une enveloppe.
