What is happening at Alice?
Since yesterday (September 23), we no longer have access to the "chez.com" domain in the webmail portal (webmail.aliceadsl.fr). Does anyone know if there has been a decision to delete all old domains, or is it simply an unfinished redesign of the site?
In the meantime, I cannot access my messages, at least to transfer the messages I wanted to save...

If anyone has any information on the subject...

Apparently, there are migration works going on at Alice right now. I contacted the assistant (10 33), and they gave me the address to revert to an earlier version of the login page: http://login.aliceadsl.fr/default.php?mode=tau&type=change&service=webmail.aliceadsl.fr

However, we still can't log in because there are still works on their servers and the migration isn't finished. But he couldn't tell me when it would be back!

Has anyone found a solution ???? Or do we have to wait ???

I find it a bit long for a server migration, I'm starting to have doubts... But well, waiting is always a given...
Otherwise, we should see if it's possible to "pull" all the mails by setting up an account in Outlook Express for example. But will it pull everything, including emails stored in folders other than the inbox? I'm not sure...

Good evening,

Your link doesn't work for me.
However, I found another one with just one letter difference and this link works:
http://login.aliceadsl.fr/default.php?mode=pau&type=change&service=webmail.aliceadsl.fr

Since yesterday 28/10, I've finally been able to reconnect via webmail to my mail on nomade.fr and retrieve all the remaining messages (it's important to be proactive).

Hoping that it works for the email at chez.com too,
Best regards,
canopus212

Yes, yes, the link still works:

http://login.aliceadsl.fr/default.php?type=change&service=webmail.aliceadsl.fr

See you!

Change the mail server from mail.aliceadsl.fr to pop.aliceadsl.fr on Outlook

In fact, yesterday was October 23rd and not September 23rd... :-)

Same for me. Hoping they're not lost for good!

Does it work for you on the site www.chez.com?

Good evening, I no longer have access to my email account either, the problem is that I no longer have access to my website either. I would like to delete it today because it is very old (it dates from the creation of chez.com...). If anyone has a lead for me to at least connect to my site.... Thank you.

I can log in to www.chez.com
I have never changed my password, so it still works, and then you should normally be able to delete your account... I'm not testing it because I don't want to delete my site :-)

Yes, that works, but it has become a personal website hosting site (like the original purpose of the site, in fact), and management... Well, when I say it works, you can log in, but after that, your only options are:
- delete the account
- log out

What is certain is that www.chez.com is no longer used to manage your email xxx@chez.com.

No answers to this mystery, but I am in the same situation!
I wouldn't be surprised if everything was deleted without even notifying us (or maybe their warning got lost in the flood of spam I was receiving on my "chez.com" address).

For a few days, I was hardly receiving any spam, which should have maybe set off alarm bells...

"Since a few days I was receiving hardly any spam, that should have raised a red flag...

But I found that strange too!!! I thought my inbox had been hacked and that someone was deleting the spam for me... LOL!
But this whole thing really pisses me off!!!!!
What the hell are they doing at Alice???"

Four days ago, I received this email:

from The Alice Team <pas_de_reponse@aliceadsl.fr>
to xxxxxxxxxxxxxx@chez.com
date October 21, 2009 01:28
subject Your Alice email
sent by libertysurf.net
Hello,
We are preparing to migrate your email address to new
technical infrastructures.
Unfortunately, this operation will result in the deletion of
the redirects you may have set up on your email
[ xxxxxxxxxxxxxx@chez.com ]
Of course, you can still check your messages from the
aliceadsl.fr portal.
If you use an email client, you can now
set up downloading messages from the POP server.
We apologize in advance for the inconvenience caused,
Thank you for your loyalty,
The Alice Team

At the time, I went to check, no problem...
But for the last 2 days, no more redirected messages and no access to email with aliceadsl.fr
Impossible to send a message to Alice support, you must be a subscriber!
Can someone help me, I really care about this address that I use a lot.

Sorry, but it doesn't work on any of Alice's portals. The @ at the end of the list: chez.com monsieurcinema.com, etc., are no longer in the popup menu.

But we can retrieve received emails with software via POP: pop.aliceadsl.fr.

A priori, with the credentials from chez.com, you can send an email to Alice's support, but you cannot access her account.

It might be worth it for a maximum number of people to call 10 33 to shout and let it be known that you can't close down an area like that without warning...

Toll-free number from a landline apparently...

I tried to reach the support number... reserved for subscribers! I honestly have doubts about the legality of deleting mailboxes without warning.... Personally, this mailbox was my oldest, and I would have been okay with moving it, but you need to be informed first! What is this way of doing things?

Well, it reassures me somewhat to see that I'm not the only one in the sh*t!
Honestly, a domain deletion without warning: it's a blatant disregard (and I weigh my words carefully!)

In the meantime, I can't find a solution to recover what can still be saved...

Have you managed to do so?

I could have also informed my clients and contacts if only Alice had explained the problem to me better. I could have communicated a new email address. But that takes time. It's a business address, so I need to update the Yellow Pages, etc., and all printed materials. For a company, this needs to be planned at least 6 months in advance.
Alice just sent me one email to tell me that my transfers would no longer work. I can access my @libertysurf.fr inbox via the aliceadsl.fr portal, but there are no received messages! This means that my messages are not even arriving in the mailbox. Some of my clients told me they received a failure message for sending. So where does Alice store my messages? Will Alice forward them to me, or are they lost forever? This is a pathetic way of doing things. You can't contact customer service at 3244 without having a Freebox (being a subscriber). My business has been operating with the libertysurf address for 8 years. All my brochures, website, etc. are printed with this address. The worst part is not informing my clients and changing the address, but not receiving my emails at all! There are important matters! If I don't respond, I could miss out on business opportunities, etc. What can I do to contact Alice to try to recover the emails received in the last 3 days??
Thank you for your responses.

Hello!

Thanks to the link provided a little earlier, I was able to access my mailbox monsieurcinema.com
It works!
I just spent over an hour transferring most of my data to another mailbox!
What a hassle: I still can't get over it!

However, thanks again for providing this link!

I don't understand, I can access my site chez.com via FTP, I log into my account through www.chez.com; but I can't access the POP with the same password: yet the passwords for the email and FTP are the same, right?
I am using the POP pop.aliceadsl.fr and the same with pop.chez.com but it rejects me for authentication error ...
Is the email password different?

Also, there is no way to request a password reset ... Should I give up my email created in 2003 even though I use it very little?

A silly question,
I understand the migration, etc.,
but from what you are saying, I have not been able to determine if
your address chez.com is still functioning (even without the redirection, etc.)
or if it is no longer accessible?

When I try to send myself an email to my chez.com address,
I get an error of type 501 501 RCPT Invalid mail address,
while I can perfectly send emails from the webmail.
(since I have a one-letter mail login, I fear a faulty validation rule).

Are your addresses still bidirectional?
0

Like alprazolam, my mailbox is still accessible to me. I can send emails and check my contacts, etc. on aliceadsl.fr (webmail), but indeed no incoming messages are arriving in the mailbox. Senders receive an error message (written in English, great for my French-speaking contacts). In my opinion, after a while, Alice will delete my access to my mailbox.
It's really lamentable that Alice doesn't inform us better about what to do to keep our emails. And it's lamentable that we were only vaguely warned about the migration problem just 10 days ago.

via Outlook, still ok,
I don't understand your issues:
pop: pop.aliceadsl.fr
smtp: smtp.wanadoo.fr being with Orange...

the messages I send to myself (from another address) arrive well in my inbox!
Furthermore, the redirects have not disappeared

NB however, my above link in webmail may no longer work, I will check.

On the other hand, the update of his personal pages (ftp)
goodbye, it does not respond, for now, I hope.

FTP access via browser works:

ftp://www.chez.com/

then username and password

after that, I have never used this command to update

you need the advice of a specialist or check online
