    While waiting for the return of jojolaguitare, whom I greet.

    There are two versions of Outlook: the first is Microsoft's online email service, which is accessed through a browser (Edge, Chrome, Firefox, etc.), and the other is part of the Microsoft Office suite.

    In the absence of precise information, I will assume you are using the first one, but in any case, the principle of operation is similar.

    On your screen, you have sections corresponding to received mail, sent mail, drafts, deleted items, and spam or junk mail. The names may not be exactly word-for-word, as I have the English version.

    The emails or mail received can be found in the inbox, and your sent items are either in the drafts folder or in the sent items folder.

    If they are not found in either, there is little chance you will find them elsewhere, and you will have no choice but to resend.

    You could try sending a test email with a few words to an acquaintance, and after clicking the "send" button, check that it appears at the top (in principle) of the sent items folder, where your previous sends should also be located.

    It is possible that you made a mistake, and the content of your email is located elsewhere on your disk, but I don't believe that because Outlook does not send messages to places other than those indicated above.

    At most, you can save received messages in a folder of your choice for archiving purposes, but this does not apply to sent messages.

    However, you can conduct a search in the designated area in the file manager (the yellow folder corresponding to all the directories of the main drive) by entering the name of your correspondent or a significant word from the email.

    You could then identify where it is and retrieve it to recreate a message.

    What I recommend for important documents is to create them outside of Outlook, in the word processing software you usually use, and save them in the documents folder beforehand, for example.

    This way you will have a usable copy in case of an incident (a copy on a USB key or external hard drive is not a luxury);

    Then, by copying and pasting the content (select all - copy - paste in the message window of Outlook), you compose your message in Outlook and check after sending that it appears in the sent items.

      Thank you very much dear Sir, but it was by touching something on my computer, perhaps with the mouse, that my email disappeared from my screen. I found it yesterday in the drafts and saved it on my PC in documents, but it doesn't open even though it's in Firefox.
      Thank you for helping me, but I am desperate; it was calculations of my pension (I am 80 years old) and I needed to send them to a lawyer to recover what had not been paid to me. So I am really desperate. Thank you for your help dear Sir. Antoinette

      These calculations were not made directly in the body of the email. You would be left to find those calculations and repost them.

      However, you say that you found them in the drafts. These drafts only exist in the messaging system, specifically in the "drafts" folder. This draft is not meant to open in Facebook, but in the outlook.com site opened in the Firefox browser.

      I will not go through the entire process so that you don’t get lost.

      Two questions then:

      - you found the content you drafted in the "drafts" folder, did you click on it to open it as a new message, which would allow you to link its content?

      - since you say you saved the document, can you right-click on this file and tell me what is listed under the section: open file type?

      It is labeled as a Firefox HTML Document,
      so it would be a web page (firefox HTML document) stored somewhere on your PC. It should indeed open in Firefox, but this is not how an email from the sent folder in Outlook appears, and, based on the attempts I just made, it cannot be sent to the hard drive either.

      It is likely that there was an error when you tried to send the email and that it was saved as a corrupted HTML document, making it impossible to open.

      I don’t know what document you have saved, but it is clearly not a file managed by the outlook.com email service, which would only be visible in the outlook.com window.

      Furthermore, you did not answer the question: in the "drafts" folder, did you click on it to open it as a new message, which would allow you to read its content?
