Choppy streaming in full-screen mode

Hello,
when I watch a streaming video, the fullscreen mode is always choppy while in a smaller window, it's smooth. The same type of video, but downloaded, is of good quality in fullscreen.
Is this normal? If not, what could it be due to? My internet connection? My computer hardware?

Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 3.0.13

Hello, if the video stutters in full screen on Firefox, install Flash through this link.
Here is the link: https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/?loc=en
Make sure to click "allow" at the top right for the installation to start.
The problem will be solved!
