CD-DVD Drive Creaking

Hello,

I have a problem with my CD-DVD drive; every time I try to play a DVD or a music CD, the sound crackles quite often. However, when I play music or a movie that is already on my PC (a DELL XPS M1330), there is no problem... I have therefore concluded that the issue is with the DVD drive.
What should I do?

    I have the same issue with the CD player in my BMW 320 1998. While the CDs play just fine on the PC.
    I even ran a cleaning CD in the car's CD player but it doesn't help.
    Moreover, the crackling is random!
