HP PC that won't turn on with high-pitched noises

Hello,
I have been encountering a problem with my PC since yesterday. First of all, yesterday I turned it on and it got stuck on the HP startup page. So, I turned it off by pressing the power button for a long time. I tried starting it again, but it still didn't work (at that moment it made no sound). I then went through the escape menu to start it manually. I immediately thought it might be a virus, so I took steps to remove it. During the antivirus launch, the computer automatically returned to the HP startup page. I restarted the computer, but upon restarting, it made a high-pitched noise four times, which scared me quite a bit; it wasn't very loud but indicated that something was wrong. I turned it off and on again. After a full antivirus scan of my computer and two hours of waiting, my PC restarted normally. I thought it was over. However, later in the evening the computer started crashing again. I decided to turn it off and turn it on again, and once again, the high-pitched noise occurred; I had to try three times before I could turn on the computer. Finally, when going to bed, I turned off the computer, and this noise appeared at the moment I turned it off. This morning I woke up and couldn't turn it on; there’s no blue screen anymore, just black and the high-pitched noise...
What should I do? What does this noise mean?

It's always the problem with HP, it's good hardware but capricious.
In my opinion, the best thing to do in the control panel is to uninstall everything with all the options because with HP you have plenty of them, and then reinstall only the printer without the heavy options. But first, you can do a little cleaning by downloading CCleaner from teecharger.com. If you can't manage, call me for help, give me your landline number and I'll help you out. By the way, I'm 65 years old and I'm not dating anymore, haha! -
No, they are indeed high and clear beeps. I wanted to open the device but I was more scared of messing things up than anything else. I took the liberty of giving it a quick vacuum with a very low setting to remove the layer of dust, but it didn't change anything at all. It simply turns on again to the HP page, but now if I want to turn it on manually by pressing escape, it makes a dull noise as if a part is spinning in vain, and this only happens with escape as F10 and F11 work. In any case, there are still beeps and it freezes.
I think my motherboard is dead... I'm going to take it back to the store where I bought it, but my warranty expired 2 months ago; it feels like it was intentional. I think I will have to buy a new tower...
As for CCleaner, I would need my computer to start up first ^^ and that's the problem; it refuses to turn on while making a noise that sounds like a warning and it doesn't stop until I turn it off myself.
Thanks again, but I believe my computer is asking to be sent to the graveyard... and I will have to wait a few days to gather the money to buy a new tower...
But not HP this time; I don't know yet, I will see on the forums which brand is recommended for a good tower.-
Okay, if there are beeps, we need to know how many beeps.
Depending on the number, we can determine whether the issue comes from the graphics card, RAM, motherboard, etc.
If your PC beeps in a loop (does not stop beeping), then there is a very high chance that it is overheating.
In case of overheating, the best thing to do is to clean the inside of the PC:
1. unplug everything
2. place the CPU unit on a table with light
3. with a soft brush, remove the dust that mainly accumulates in the fans
If you have random beeps (sometimes it beeps and sometimes it starts), then it is possible that there is a loose connection.
In this case, I advise you to remove and then reinsert the cards and RAM sticks after cleaning them as well.
Be careful before touching anything inside a PC; unplug everything and get on a work surface to be comfortable.

I also have an HP dx2300 (equipped with a Core 2 Duo, 3 GB of RAM, and a triple boot (Ubuntu / Windows XP / Snow Leopard) and my computer won't turn on (no display) and it beeps continuously with high-pitched sounds, except that I have tried to turn it on more than 10 times and it doesn't even show the BIOS screen.
I will try to clean it and I will return to the forum... -

Hello, my situation must be overheating based on what you said "Spider".
One evening, my sister moved the CPU, and the screen displayed phrases or settings on a blue background. She immediately turned it off in panic.
I turned it back on, and a high-pitched noise (2 beeps) occurred continuously. The screen is not working anymore (black, as if it was no longer connected to the CPU). Now my mouse and keyboard seem to be experiencing the same fate as the screen.
It's been 3 days now, and of course, after the mishap, I dusted off my CPU, the fans, the cables.
What should I do?
(wait, try repair methods, get my computer repaired...??)

I opened my PC because my speakers weren't working, and the inside was damaged. Without meaning to, I removed the speaker power cables and replaced them. After that, my computer wouldn't turn on anymore. Two days later, I plugged it back in, and it turned on, but it was beeping and smelled like it was burning.

In my opinion, if the PC makes high and clear beeps, it may be an overheating issue, and the motherboard beeps to warn you.
Otherwise, if you hear "whistling" or "hissing" sounds coming from the central unit when turning on and/or off, it indicates an electrical problem with the components.
In both cases, it is a hardware issue, and uninstalling applications (whether unnecessary or not) will not change anything. -
That's it!! It's beeping in a loop that doesn't stop. Sometimes it doesn't happen right away, but it does after about 30 seconds (which is basically the same u_u). A friend also advised me to dust it off because the tower was stuck to my sofa, and part of the ventilation was blocked. I'm going to open it carefully while trying not to mess anything up. I really hope that's all it is, but then I wonder why the computer keeps freezing. I'll try and let you know.

Open your DVD drive (leave it open during the whole operation), turn on the computer... logically it will do an automatic repair... once your PC is on, you'll be reassured, dust off your drive... turn off your computer and close your drive.
If that doesn't work, it could be the power outlet; in that case, turn on your computer without the power supply. -

power supply or motherboard damaged.
You should check the capacitors on the motherboard (cylindrical components).
If they are not "burst" or deformed then you are good to replace the power supply unit.
I advise you to get a power supply from a brand like Corsair, Enermax, or Antec.
I strongly advise against buying an Advance or Heden power supply as they do not reach the labeled power, are dangerous, and do not meet safety standards at all.
