Hello,
I have (I've had it for a long time, I admit...) a Samsung SV400F VCR. Currently, it refuses to record and when playing back the tape (which it didn't record...) it displays ATR on its screen. Can someone tell me what this means and how to fix the problem?
Otherwise, I believe I will have to part with it, but I'm convinced it's just a setting issue...
Unfortunately, I haven't found a forum to answer my question...
Thanks in advance

evening
same opinion as you
it seems benign
ATR normally meaning audio tape recorder for tape recorders
it would be better to have VCR video cassette recorder for video cassette players
don't you have the manual?
see you later

Hello el-mariachi,
I have the manual but nothing mentions this issue.
I am indeed in VCR recording mode, but during playback of the tape, after a few seconds it switches to ATR...
I assumed it might be improperly connected to the TV, but when I turn it on, I can receive the TV...
Thank you for your help
