Soucis X server avec GentooFermé

Bonjour à tous,

J'ai installé Gentoo à partir du LiveCD avec l'installer en ligne de commande sur mon PC portable. J'ai créer un Dual Boot avec Vista et ça marche impec' j'ai le choix entre les 2 OS. Quand je démarre Gentoo ça se corse car au début du chargement l'écran des lignes de commandes avec les "Ok" au bout est brouillé un peu comme Canal+ quand on a pas le décodeur pour vous donner une idée. Bon, arrivé ensuite au login ça redevient net mais c'est tout de même bizarre. Ensuite mon problème le plus gênant c'est que je n'ai pas d'interface graphique. J'arrive à un "localhost login" comme dans un terminal puis j'ai successivement un écran noir puis le terminal comme si l'ordi essayais de charger quelque chose. Enfin j'ai une fenêtre à fond bleu avec le message "Failed to start the X server (your graphical interface). It is likely that it is not set up correctly. Would you like to view the X server output to diagnose the problem?".

Que faut-il faire pour régler ça?

Je peux malgré tout utilisé mon linux mais seulement en ligne de commande. N'étant pas expert sur Linux j'aimerais avoir une interface graphique avant de m'attaquer à l'utilisation de Linux en console ^^.

ouais et puis Linux, c'est bien beau la console mais s'il ne fallait faire que ça y aurait pas un grand intérêt :)

Si tu veux que qqn te diagnostique, faudrait que tu nous donnes ta config (carte graphique + type d'écran et définition), et que tu colles le contenu de ton fichier /etc/X11/xorg.conf (je sais c'est pas facile de coller depuis un linux en tty sur un forum, à moins que tu maitrises "lynx" ^^) Sinon t'as qu'à accéder à ce fichier depuis vista, en supposant que t'aies FSD Driver (pour accéder aux partoches ext3 depuis windows).

Alors ma carte graphique est une Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family de 358mo et mon écran est un 13,5', 1280x800.

Le pilote de ma carte graphique je ne l'ai pas mis à jour depuis que j'ai ma machine, elle a moins d'un an. C'est un pilote Intel. Pour l'interface graphique c'est gnome et le manager gdm.

Oui j'ai déjà essayé au début ça ne marchait pas puis en cherchant un peu sur le net par rapport à mon erreur j'ai vu sur un site quelqu'un qui avait utilisé la commande "modprobe acp-intel". J'ai fait de même puis j'ai retapé startx et miracle j'avais une fenêtre graphique avec 3 terminaux allumés mais je n'ai rien fait de + n'ayant pas eu beaucoup de temps.

Hello,

J'ai désactivé le DRI et aucun changement. Petite correction par rapport à ce que j'ai dit sur le modprobe que j'ai tapé qui m'a permis d'avoir une fenêtre graphique avec startx c'était pas "modprobe acp-intel" mais "modprobe intel-agp". :)

ok pour "modprobe intel-agp"

il y a tout de même quelques petites choses à régler :
(EE) intel(0): Failed to allocate framebuffer. Is your VideoRAM set too low?
pour essayer de régler ce message d'erreur, tu peux par exemple éditer ton fichier xorg.conf et dans la partie 
Section "Screen"  modifier ainsi :
#Depth 24
#Modes "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
#EndSubSection
#SubSection "Display"
#Depth 32
#Modes "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
#EndSubSection 
bref en mettant un dièse devant ces lignes, on les commentent (elles ne seront donc pas lues), ce qui devrait réduire le VideoRAM.

également désactiver DRI (mais ça tu l'as déjà fait !).

enfin vérifier que le module i810 est bien chargé :
lsmod | grep i810
mais d'après le fichier log, cela devrait !

ne pas oublier de relancer le serveur X après les changements.




autre message à étudier ensuite :
(EE) GARTInit: Unable to open /dev/agpgart (No such file or directory)
résolution possible en utilisant le driver vesa à la place de i810
pour se faire , remplacer dans le ficheir xorg.conf remplacer "i810" par "vesa"

Il y a du mieux =). 
Après avoir fais tout ces changements j'ai redémarré ma machine et désormais j'ai un écran graphique (avec une jolie fleur en plus en bas à droite ^^) où je peux me loguer. Je me suis logué en root et j'arrive sur un bureau à fond bleu avec en haut à gauche une petite fenêtre intitulée "xsm Fail Safe" avec quatre options dans cette fenêtre: "Client List", "Session log", "Checkpoint" et "Shutdown" et enfin j'ai un terminal qui s'allume. Sinon le bureau est vide. Que faire à partir de là?

Juste comme ça,

tu ne devrais pas ouvrir une session graphique en root; mais plutôt en utilisateur

se déconnecter de ta session en root !

puis reconnection en utilisateur !
