Hello,
I’m having issues receiving TNT via satellite, but I can’t identify the cause.
I just bought a modern TV, but I’m in an area not covered by terrestrial TNT. So, I opted for satellite reception. I kept my satellite dish but changed the LNB and the decoder.
Unfortunately, with a digital decoder labeled “TNTSAT,” I’m not receiving any channels. When I connect it, I get between 79 and 83% “Signal” but 0% “Quality.” Does that mean I’m not on Astra?
I’ve checked all the cabling several times and tried various adjustments of the dish in azimuth and elevation based on the indications relative to my geographic location, but nothing works. Why?
The only visible flaw in my installation is that the pole is not perfectly vertical. Is that enough to result in no reception, knowing that when I reconnect my old analog decoder and adjust the dish (to a different azimuth), I still receive the classic channels TF1, F2, F3, Canal, Arte, and M6 in analog?
Thank you if you have any information or suggestions.

What TNT decoder do you have?
Is there a settings menu from which you make the adjustments?
I think you're not on Astra (19.2 E). You can try to fix the antenna in place and sweep the azimuth with someone in front of the TV...
The mast not being vertical, within plus or minus 5 degrees, it should work.
Don't forget the fine adjustment (as soon as the rest is working): slightly move the dish's head closer or further away (check the signal level) then rotate the head in its mount (more or less 20°) and check the gain there as well.
Is there no obstacle between the antenna and Astra?

My decoder is an "ELAP" decoder ref 751612 with of course a TNTSAT card included.
Apparently it is easy to use with a clear manual. I have a settings menu? Let's say I have screens asking me to set up my decoder (language, time..) and everything goes as per the manual until I reach 80% signal but I have 0% in "quality" so it finds no channels.
All your comments lead me to think that I am not on Astra or that I may not have been precise enough in adjusting the verticality of the mast or the LNB head.
So I will follow your advice and redo the adjustments tomorrow in the daylight.
Thank you again for your reply.
