high-pitched laptop whistling

Question

Hello,
I have an HP Presario V6000 that constantly emits a high-pitched whistle.

I've turned off the sound, reinstalled the sound drivers, etc... even tried lowering the resolution on the graphics side, etc.

I've noticed that this sound is only emitted when the computer is NOT working, that is, when I'm not using the computer's memory. (For example, right now while I'm writing this message, it whistles, when I click to load a new tab it whistles even more^^)

I hope I've been relatively clear and that someone can help me ;)

Well for me it made a whistling sound so I followed the advice to blow like a maniac into the air vent of the fan and my PC shot a machine gun of dust in my face lol but the problem is solved there you go :)

Very good question! ^^  But does the fan also react noticeably to the actions?  And can I do a test for that? :s

Have you opened it up below to do a little cleaning of the fan??  only do this if the PC is no longer under warranty!!  -- mark your post as "resolved" if you have no more questions!!

Hello, so here I am, I've had a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo li2727 laptop for four and a half years, and for a while now, it was making a whistling noise coming from the fan located under the laptop. I decided to look for solutions online, but I didn't find much, so I took my laptop, had a little look at it, and saw that on the left side there were some small "grills" where heat escapes. I blew into it once, not too hard, and the whistling decreased, then I blew a second time and a third time, and the whistling stopped instantly. It was really very simple. So I'm happy. If your laptop is whistling, do like me, and maybe it will stop.
